Now that we sold our car in Johannesburg and we got our rental ‘race car’ we could go anywhere we wanted. Anywhere in this case was the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the Drakensbergen.
We pitched our newly acquired Decathlon tent and then learned we were camping right in the middle of a group pensioners with their caravans. We counted more than 15 of them… The view on the mountains was still spectacular though and we had plenty of people to talk to ;-).
The next couple of days we relaxed a bit after our adventures in Centurion but we also did some magnificent hikes. The longest one was over four hours and led us to the top of a mountain which was more than 2400 meters!
